Harty is an associate at Arnold and Porter LLP. She focuses her practice on litigation and business litigation matters. Prior to joining Arnold and Porter, she served as a law clerk at the District of Columbia Superior Court in both the civil division and family court and she was a student-attorney with Georgetown's Domestic Violence Clinic.

She earned her J.D. in 2004 from the Georgetown University Law Center and her B.A. in 1998 from Dartmouth College.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 541 home sales in Silver Spring during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $395,000.
