Senior economist unloads Truxton Circle 3BD

Dahlia Khalifa and Zaidun Jawdat sold a three-bedroom, three-bath home at 1701 New Jersey Ave. N.W. in Truxton Circle to Jama Adams and Brian Fishman for $699,000 on March 24.

The 1,796-square-foot house was foreclosed on in Oct. 2006 and was built in 1900.

Khalifa is a senior economist at Doing Business, a World Bank group that measures business regulations and their enforcement.

She founded Egypt's International Economic Forum and was vice president of the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt. She has been an adjunct professor at the American University of Cairo and George Washington University's Elliott School of International Affairs.

She received her bachelor's and master's degrees in economics and master's degree in international law at Georgetown University.

Jawdat is an attorney at law.

He attended the St. George's British International School.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 51 home sales in Truxton Circle during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $329,000.
