Mbegane Diouf and Alexa Rosenberg bought a four-bedroom, two-bath home at 2112 N. Capitol St. N.W. in Bloomingdale from George Barnum for $399,999 on July 17.

Barnum paid $249,000 for the home in July 2002. The 1,408-square-foot house was built in 1923.

Diouf works as a chef and nutritionist at Whole Foods Market, a natural and organic foods supermarket and America's first national certified organic grocer. Previously, he was an EMT at Armstrong Ambulance. He has been with the company for more than two years.

Mr. Diouf studied Emergency Medical Technology at Northeastern University in 2007.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 45 home sales in Bloomingdale during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $442,200.
