Visionary leader bargains Near Northeast 2BD

John W. Sigmon sold a two-bedroom, 1.5-bath home at 725 L St. N.E. in Near Northeast to Joshua M. Basse and Alicyn K. Basse for $409,000 on Nov. 3.

Sigmon paid $349,100 for the home in July 2004. The 1,096-square-foot house was built in 1912.

Sigmon is a director for strategic planning and automation at the U.S. Library of Congress. He is a visionary leader with public and private sector expertise in policy, strategic development, and change management. Previously, he was a deputy staff director at the Federal Election Commission, a director of human capital strategy and operations at the U.S. Government Accountability Office and a senior advisor at the Department of Health and Human Services.

He attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Mr. Basse is a national security consultant and currently a contractor that works for TT in the Defense & Space industry. He is also a senior consultant at Deloitte Consulting LLP.

He earned his M.Sc. in Middle Eastern studies from The University of Edinburgh.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 155 home sales in Near Northeast during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $428,240.
