She's also been an English teacher, varsity ice hockey and J.V. lacrosse coach at Northfield Mt. Hermon School and also an English and art teacher and lacrosse coach at Midland School.

She received her M.S. in educational studies with a certificate in independent school leadership and supervision from The Johns Hopkins University and earned her B.A. in English and art from Williams College.
