Head of school, Teach for America V.P. buy Chevy Chase 4BD

Medium e62510eda9c908afd71660f138704571 Joshua and Rachel Wolman bought a four-bedroom, three-bath home at 3504 Leland St. in Chevy Chase from John J. Vince for $859,000 on Oct. 9.

The 2,286-square-foot house was built in 1938 in the Chevy Chase South of E. West Highway neighborhood.

Mr. Wolman has been the assistant head of school for institutional advancement and external relations at Holand Hall in Oklahoma. Prior to that, he was the assistant head of school for admissions and financial aid and the director of college counseling at Sidwell Friends School in Washington, D.C. He has also been the assistant director of undergraduate admissions at Columbia University and worked in the admission offices at the Hotchkiss School in Connecticut and at the Potomac School in Virginia.

He earned his bachelor's degree in American studies from Colby College and his master's degree in educational leadership from the Columbia University Teachers College.

Ms. Wolman has been a vice president at Teach for America, an American non-profit organization whose mission is to build a movement to eliminate educational inequity. Prior to that, she was a senior consultant at the Persimmon Group, a senior director for career management at the Advisory Board Co. and the director of sales operations at the Atlantic.

She earned her bachelor's degree in English from Columbia University and her M.B.A. in human resource management from the Columbia University Columbia Business School.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 89 home sales in Chevy Chase during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $859,500.
