Carie Anne Lemack bought a two-bedroom, four-bath home at 1617 Swann St. N.W. in Washington from Potomac Construction 1617 LLC for $996,000 on Sept. 25.

The Potomac Construction 1617 LLC paid $2.25 million for the property in Aug. 2007. The house was built in 1925 in the Dupont Circle neighborhood.

Lemack is the co-founder of Families of September 11, a non-profit, non-partisan organization. She also was the owner of The Camilla Group LLC.

She received a B.S. from Stanford University, an M.A. from Harvard University, and an M.B.A. from Stanford University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 4,155 home sales in Washington in 2008, with a median sales price of $375,000.
