Jar-How Lee and Su Hui Lee bought a four-bedroom, two-bath home at 2041 Butler Ave. in Sawtelle from Kenneth Young and Kristen S. Young for $690,000 on Nov. 1.

The Youngs paid $438,000 for the property in Dec. 2001. The 1,536-square-foot house was built in 1944.

Dr. Lee serves as the vice president of research and development, Dip. ABHI at One Lambda Inc., a medical development company. Prior to that, he was the director of research and development at the firm. Previously, he was the director of molecular biology at INGENE in Santa Monica.

He received his doctorate in molecular biology from the University of California and his B.A. from National Taiwan University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 105 home sales in Sawtelle during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $565,000.
