Sarah Happel and Stephen Happel bought a two-bedroom, one-bath home at 2316 S. Orange Drive in Mid-City from Emily K. Kishi and Harriet M. Kiuchi for $280,000 on Oct. 28.

The 1,148-square-foot house was built in 1925.

Ms. Happel is a writer, producer and director. She is the writer, producer and director of "Fairy Tale Follies," which was played at the famous Hollywood hotspot Mann's Chinese Theater.

She is also the creator of Modelogues, a blog which pokes fun at society and its fascination with idol worship while questioning the importance of beauty.

She earned her business degree from Arizona State University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 481 home sales in Mid-City during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $342,000.
