Toxic tort attorney gets Sierra Madre property

Medium 72007c295a10ea5e54796a975d97c204 Rey Shung Yang and Yi Chen bought a three-bedroom, two-bath at 405 Manzanita Ave. in Sierra Madre from Margaret Shepherd Morash for $785,000 on Aug. 11, 2009.

The 1,933-square-foot home was built in 1951 in the South Sierra Madre neighborhood.

Mr. Yang is a partner at the Los Angeles office of the law firm of Poole and Shaffery, LLP, where he manages the toxic tort department. He is a member of the Taiwanese American Lawyers Association and the Southern California Chinese Lawyers Association.

He has a B.A. in quantitative economics and decision science from the University of California-San Diego and a J.D. from the University of Mississippi Law School.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 70 home sales in Sierra Madre during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $670,000.
