Mr. Butan is a film producer and a former executive vice president at Lions Gate Entertainment. Some of his films include Confidence, Akeelah and the Bee, We Own the Night and the 2005 Oscar-nominated hit Good Night and Good Luck. He's also an executive producer for this year's film adaptation of the Cormac McCarthy novel The Road.

He graduated from Ohio State University.
