Forrest Gump actor lists for $1.865M in Venice

Medium b6281f36b3d145c790d424bd314f269a Geoffrey L. Blake and his wife, Marcia, have listed for sale a three-bedroom, two-bath home at 416 Sherman Canal in Venice for $1.865 million.

The Blakes paid $400,000 for the property in April 1994. The 1,326-square-foot house was built in 1910.

Tamra Pardee of Pardee Properties, Inc. is the listing agent for the home.

Mr. Blake is film and television actor with a career dating back to the mid 1980s. Perhaps best known for his role as Jenny's abusive anti-war boyfriend in the Vietnam-era Washington, D.C. scene in the 1994 Oscar winning Forrest Gump,, Blake has also appeared in the films Castaway, Men at Work, Contact, Edtv and Frost/Nixon.

He's also appeared on television shows such as "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation," "Monk," "Private Practice," "Any Day Now" and "Renegade." He also does voiceovers for radio and television ads.

He received his bachelor's of fine arts from the University of Southern California.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 236 sales in Venice in 2008, with a median sales price of $967,500.
