Buying a new home by the end of the year just might solve holiday shopping dilemmas with the newest sales event by McGuyer Homebuilders, Inc., “Simply the Best.”

Through Dec. 31, people buying a new home from Plantation Homes or Coventry Homes – both part of the MHI family of builders – will receive a $2,000 gift card to Best Buy.

“Buyers can use the card for last-minute holiday gifts or use it to outfit their new home with the latest audio-visual technology,” said James Miller, MHI region president.

One of Coventry Homes’ newest communities is Avalon at Spring Green, a gated enclave of 200 properties in Katy just minutes from Interstate 10. Coventry offers homes on both 80-foot and 70-foot homesites in Avalon at Spring Green, with prices from the $430,000s. Several inventory homes are under construction, as well as two model homes. Waterfront homesites are available and residents will be able to enjoy community amenities such as a putting green, open air pavilion and walking trails. The newly opened Spring Green Boulevard provides direct access to Interstate 10, and the Grand Parkway, Westpark Toll Road and U.S. 59 are nearby.

The Simply the Best incentive also is available for customers of MHI’s Build on Your Lot program, which allows buyers to contract with Coventry Homes to build on a privately owned homesite.

“We have a range of people using our Build on Your Lot program, whether they wish to build on an acreage homesite or have purchased property in town and want to tear down the existing home and build new,” Miller said. “The program is very flexible and buyers can choose from literally hundreds of highly customizable floor plans.”

All homes are built to the stringent energy-savings Environments for Living program standards, ensuring homes are as much as up to 50 percent more energy efficient, on average, than homes built prior to 2000 and 15 percent more efficient than the minimum standards required through the Energy Star program.
