Former Dial CEO buys in Tequesta

Medium 2c677d33d3d7dd35e084ee08ab758843 Herbert M. Baum and his wife, Karen, bought a two-bath home at 14369 65th Way N. in Unincorporated Palm Beach Gardens from Dina and Steven Balduzzi for $300,000 on Sept. 10.

The Balduzzis paid $215,000 for the property in Oct. 2002. The 2,485-square-foot home in the West of Jupiter neighborhood was built in 1980.

Mr. Baum is a retired executive of the Dial Corp., where he was the company's chairman, president and chief executive officer. He is a member of the board of directors for PepsiAmericas Inc., and a director with Meredith Corp. and US Airways. Prior to his career at Dial, he served as president and chief executive officer of Hasbro Inc., as chairman and chief executive officer of Quaker State Corp., and in a variety of roles at Campbell Soup Co.

Ms. Balduzzi is a patient coordinator at a cosmetic plastic surgery facility in Palm Beach.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 105 sales in Unincorporated Palm Beach Gardens in 2008, with a median sales price of $245,000.
