Mr. Popiol has been a consultant with the City of Chicago Department of Health and a technical director at Electronic Knowledge Interchange, a business and technology consulting firm. Previously, he served as the CTO at Douwantit.com and Comerxia, as a senior consultant at Blackwell Consulting Services and as a system analyst at Banco de Venezuela.

He attended the Universidad Central de Venezuela.
