Risto Hilpinen has been a professor at Miami University, Department of Philosophy since 1985. He was a professor of philosophy at the University of Jyvaskyla and professor of theoretical philosophy at the University of Turku and has held visiting professorships at the University of Rochester, Stanford University, Florida State University, and the University of Graz.

He attended University of Helsinki.

Anneli Hilpinen has been the manager of Ernst & Young Student Learning Lab at Florida International University and president of Yellow Rose Chapter at FIU at Toastmasters International. She is former assistant manager of tutor supervisor and tutor at Miami Dade College and administrator at Turku School of Economics.

She earned her M.B.A. in finance from and B.B.A. in finance and minor in economics from Florida International University, College of Business Administration.
