Manuel R. Garcia-Tunon and Helin T. Garcia-Tunon bought a four-bedroom, three-bath home at 12960 N. Calusa Club Dr. in Miami from James E. and Rosa M. Newmeyer for $440,000 on Oct. 28.

The 3,052-square-foot house was built in 1974 in Calusa Area Or Lindgren Ac.. It is located in Calusa Club Estates subdivision.

Mr. Garcia-Tunon is part-owner and executive vice president of Lemartec, an international design-build firm. His tenure with the company started during his teenage years working on construction sites and previously served as director of marketing and sales and was instrumental in developing initiatives that would expand the company's reach into new domestic and international markets.

He currently writes in a weekly business column that appears in The Miami Herald's El Nuevo Herald, one of the largest Spanish-language daily newspaper and websites and presently sits on several boards including PAX Catholic Communications, a global radio and internet ministry of the Archdiocese of Miami.

He received his bachelor's degree in construction management from Florida International University.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 4,586 home sales in Miami Unincorporated during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $126,000.
