Law firm partner, college president get Park Slope condo

Medium 52b06eb813ec4dd57aa1e3ef21086589 Daniel C. Edmundson and Lorna Duphiney-Edmundson bought a two-bedroom, two-bath condo at 133 Prospect Park W. in Park Slope from Larry A. Coury for $737,000 on June 29.

Unit #44B measures 867 square feet. The seven-story condominium was built in 1904 and offers 43 units.

Mr. Edmundson is a partner of the New York law office of Troutman Sanders. He focuses his practice on international, corporate and business law.

Prior to joining Troutman Sanders, he was a counsel and partner at Dorsey & Whitney for five years. Previously, he was chief legal officer at Homeviewmedia.com and a former president for Avis Investment Holding Corp. Earlier in his career, he worked at the law firms of Walter, Conston, Alexander & Green and Shearman & Sterling.

He received his B.S. from Purdue University in 1967 and his J.D. from Columbia University in 1970. He attended Hague Academy of International Law and the University of Paris.

Ms. Duphiney-Edmundson is a college president at Wilson College.

Prior to that, she was the president of the Association of Vermont Independent Colleges, Trinity College of Vermont and the Vermont Chapter of the International Women's Forum. Previously, she held various higher positions at a university in Paris, New York, and in New Hampshire.

She graduated from Columbia University's Teachers College, Columbia's Graduate School of Business's Executive Program in Accounting and Finance, Boston College and Rhode Island College. She also studied at the University of Paris.

There were 136 condo sales in Park Slope in 2008, with a median sales price of $650,000.
