Pawn shop owner buys in Highland Park

Medium c22085913eaf3dee26cce57e11cf3bfe Jerry Lebovitz and Bonnie Lebovitz bought a three-bedroom, three-bath home at 45 Barnard Lane in Highland Park from Ellard L. Pfaelzer for $710,000 on June 11.

The 3,015-square-foot house in the Barnard subdivision was built in 1979.

Mr. Lebovitz is the president of Chicago Pawners & Jewelers.

Mr. Pfaelzer is the director of the NorthShore University HealthSystem Foundation.

He has also served as chairman of Executive Service Corps of Chicago and as chairman emeritus for The Bruss Co.

There were 276 sales in Highland Park in 2008, with a median sales price of $451,250.
