The 1,614-square-foot house was built in 1970 at Strathmore subdivision in the Buffalo Grove Central neighborhood.

Mr. Nieuwboer is chief technology officer and vice president at GFX International Inc., a full-service retail design and production firm in Grayslake, Ill.

He previously was chief operating officer and chief information officer at Amazing Graphics and CTO and VP at TGD International. Earlier in his career, he worked at The Ritz Carlton as director of room service.

There were 286 home sales in Buffalo Grove Central in 2008, with a median sales price of $319,000.
