Law firm partners buy in the Loop

Medium bfdcc4c3e5bb1951bf88cabac13d2d77 Mark Parts and Faith Spencer bought a condo at 130 N. Garland Court in the Loop from Mohammad and Firouzeh Imandoust for $862,000 on July 1.

Unit #2005 is one of 356 condos at the Heritage, which was built in 2005.

Parts is a partner at the Chicago-based law firm Parts & Spencer Ltd. Prior to founding the firm, he served as an associate at Cochran, Cherry, Givens, Smith & Montgomery, where he specialized in the areas of civil rights, catastrophic injury and wrongful death litigation.

Before that, he was a senior counsel with the City of Chicago Law Department, he worked at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom and he held teaching positions at the DePaul University College of Law.

He earned his J.D. from the University of Chicago School of Law.

Spencer is a partner at Parts & Spencer. She previously practiced as a litigation associate at Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal, she served as a corporate counsel to a medical practice and was chairperson of the local school council for Burley Elementary School in Chicago.

She studied law at the University of Chicago School of Law.

According to BlockShopper.com, there were 81 sales in the Loop in 2008, with a median price of $300,000.
