Clark D. Prickett and his wife, Michelle, bought a two-bath home at 1230 W. Cornelia Ave. in Lake View from North Star Trust Co. for $735,000 on July 8.

The 2,612-square-foot house was built in 1914.

Mr. Prickett has served as a partner at Lighthouse Partners, an investment management firm dedicated solely to managing hedge funds. Prior to that, he worked with the derivatives and interest-rate risk management group at SunTrust Bank and with the multi-strategy hedge fund manager, Ramius Capital LLC.

He earned a degree in philosophy and economics from the University of Richmond and an M.B.A. in finance and accounting from the University of Chicago.

Mrs. Prickett has been a pulmonary and critical care medicine fellow at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.

She earned her M.D. from the University Of Illinois College Of Medicine and completed her residency at the Northwestern University McGaw Medical Center.

There were 1,184 home sales in Lake View in 2008, with a median sales price of $334,000.
