Venture capitalist CEO acquires law firm partners' 3BD

Medium b63437a8fae604057227ec1473e99ba0 Joseph T. Gorman and Karen A. Gorman bought a three-bedroom, two-bath home at 30751 Brookwood Dr. in Pepper Pike from Jenna A. Warren and Thomas D. Warren for $315,000 on Oct. 9.

The Warrens acquired the property for $340,000 in Nov. 2003. The 2,046-square-foot house was built in 1957 in the Pepper Pike South neighborhood.

Mr. Gorman is the founding partner of Glengary LLC, a venture capitalist enterprise in Cleveland.

He also is director of Alcoa Inc., the Procter & Gamble Co., National City Corp. and Imperial Chemical Industries PLC.

He formerly was chairman and chief executive officer of TRW Inc., managing director at Union Partners LLC, past chairman of the U.S.-Japan Business Council, founding member of the Ohio Governor's Education Management Council and a trustee of the New Ohio Institute. He also served on the board of Greater Cleveland Growth Association and United Way Services, and was a founding member of the Founders Society of the Cleveland Museum of Art and a trustee of the Cleveland Clinic Foundation, the Musical Arts Association, and the Cleveland Playhouse.

He received a B.S. from Kent State University and a doctorate degree and J.D. from Yale Law School.

Mr. Warren is a partner at Baker & Hostetler LLP in their Cleveland office. He practices in the areas of appellate litigation, commercial litigation and white collar defense and corporate investigations.

He received a degree in government from Harvard College and J.D. from Sanford Law School.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 98 home sales in Pepper Pike during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $347,800.
