USC economics professor spends $1.04M on Pasadena 3BD

Dr. Adam Z. Rose bought a three-bedroom, three bath at 190 Avenue 64 in Pasadena for $1.04 million from Gretchen Goertz on Jan. 9.

The 2,092-square-foot house was built in 1937.

Dr. Rose is a research professor at the University of Southern California. He also serves as acting director of the Energy Institute and as coordinator for economics at the Center for Risk and Economic Analysis of Terrorism Events.

He previously taught geography and energy at Penn State University and before that held several titles at West Virginia University. Earlier, he was an assistant professor and lecturer at the University of California-Riverside's Department of Economics. He has also served as a senior council economist for the New York State council of economic advisers.

Dr. Rose obtained his B.A. in economics from the University of Utah and his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in economics from Cornell University.
