Job search CEO acquires Malibu 5BD for $7.75M

Medium f3af4bd362d299b07290b88a0c0ade86 Andrew Harrison Barnes bought a five-bedroom, five-bath home at 23210 Mariposa De Oro St. in Malibu from Fred Segal $7.75 million on Dec. 23.

The 5,998-square-foot house was built in 1991 in Las Flores. It is located in the Rancho Topanga subdivision.

Barnes is the founder and chief executive officer of The Employment Research Institute, a job search company. He was practicing law with the law firm of Quinn Emanuel Urquhart Oliver & Hedges, and Dewey Ballantine. He was also a professor of law at Whittier Law School.

He holds a bachelor's degree in public policy studies from the University of Chicago and received his J.D. from the University of Virginia Law School.

According to BlockShopper.com, there have been 226 home sales in Malibu during the past 12 months, with a median sales price of $1.65 million.
