Retail exec spends over $1M on Wall Street

Terry Pritikin and his wife, Eileen, bought a three-bedroom, two bath condo at 80 John St. in Wall Street from WSA Management, Ltd. for $1,288,500 on July 29.

The 1,412-square-foot Unit #6C is in The South Star high-rise.

Mr. Pritikin has served as COO for retail at Awards.com, which provides recognition and promotional products via the Internet.

In the late 1990s, he served as senior vice president of stores (North America) at Sunglass Hut International. Prior to joining Sunglass, he was vice president and director of stores of Charming Shoppes, Inc., which owns the Fashion Bug chain of stores.

He was also president of specialty stores for Tommy Hilfiger USA and was an executive vice president of stores with The Lerner New York Division of Limited, Inc.

He holds a B.A. from the University of Illinois.

The South Star, which was built in 1927, is 23 stories high and features 90 units.

Home sales in Wall Street/Lower Manhattan are down 80 percent in 2008 versus sales in 2007. The median sales price, however, is up from $878,000 in 2007 to $960,000 so far this year.
