Rahul Sachdeo bought the two-bedroom, two-bath Unit #3D at 300 E. 55th St. in East Midtown/Turtle Bay from Ji Hyun Kim and Yuman Chan for $1.5 million on July 11.

Mr. Sachdeo is a hedge fund associate at Arcim Advisors, a financial services firm.

He earned his bachelor's degree from the University of Vermont and his master's degree in statistics from Harvard University.

Mr. Chan is a senior portfolio analyst at American International Group, Inc., an insurance company.

There are 119 units in the 31-story building at 300 E. 55th St., also known as as the Milan. It was constructed in 2003.

Sales in the Milan rose from eight to 10 from 2006-2007. The median sales price also rose 32 percent during that same time period, from $1.636 million to $2.163 million.

Condo sales in East Midtown/Turtle Bay increased seven percent in 2007 versus sales in 2006. The median sales price, however, rose from $640,000 to $661,000 during the same period.
