Clare Cotugno and Edward M. Connelly bought a three-bedroom, two-bath home at 408 S. Croskey St. in East Falls from Cosmo Fattizzo and Noreen Paholak for $310,000 on June 16.

Fattizzo and Paholak paid $292,000 for the property in July 2006. The 1,350-square-foot home was built in 1939.

Ms. Cotugno is a head editor and writer at Creative Conzepts LLC, a multi-ethnic communication agency, specializing in brand development and media production.

Previously, she was manager and content quality editor at Electronic Ink and was editor at Geneva Global. She has been a writer, editor and teacher in New York and Philadelphia for more than 15 years. She was an English professor at Temple University.

She received a Ph.D. in English from Temple University and a B.A. in English and theater from Barnard College at Columbia University.

Mr. Fattizzo is client service consultant at Delaware Investments, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Lincoln National Corp., that specializes in the retail and institutional sales of their mutual funds.

He previously was an admissions officer and data manager at Laboratory Charter School and an enrollment attendance manager at Mariana Bracetti Academy Charter School. He also has been a client relationship associate at CMS Cos., and an office manager at Dominion NY. Before that, he worked in executive and administrative support for The McGraw Hill Cos.

He received his B.A. in economics, statistics, computer science and drama from the Trinity College - Hartford and graduated from St. Andrew's School.

Ms. Paholak is a gym director at Sprouts Preschool of the Philly Kids Gym.

Previously, she was the managing director of the Little Gym of Narberth.

She received her B.A. in teaching and performance choreography at the Columbia College in Chicago.

There were 117 home sales in East Falls in 2008, with a median sales price of $207,450.
