Legal studies professor, vaccine specialist unload 3BD

Medium d054c9e8a2b680b4155a233d481c8bd3 William S. Laufer, Dr. Dagna Laufer and Jack Laufer sold a three-bedroom, 2.5-bath home at 2050 Pine St. in Center City West to Victoria Zebro and Edward Zebro for $700,000 on July 2.

The 2,000-square-foot house was built in 1850.

Mr. Laufer is a Julian Aresty professor of legal studies and business ethics, sociology and criminology at the Wharton University of Pennsylvania. He also is director at the Carol and Lawrence Zicklin Center for Business Ethics Research.

He has served as the Anheuser-Busch term assistant professor of legal studies and associate director at Sellin Center for Studies in Criminology and Criminal Law.

He received his Ph.D. from Rutgers University, his J.D. from the Northeastern University School of Law and his B.A. from Johns Hopkins University.

Dr. Laufer is senior director of the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative, a global not-for-profit, public-private partnership working to accelerate the development of a vaccine to prevent HIV infection and AIDS.

Prior to that, she was a practicing pediatrician specialized in pediatric infectious diseases and has been a consultant in medical affairs. She has worked with the clinical affairs and vaccine research and development teams at Wyeth.

She received her bachelor's degree from Johns Hopkins University and her M.D. from New York Medical College. She completed her pediatric residency at Schneider Children's Hospital in New York and at St. Christopher's Hospital for Children in Pennsylvania and her fellowship in pediatric infectious diseases at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.

Ms. Zebro is a sales associate at Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC in Princeton. Her expertise includes residential resale, single-family residences, multi-family dwellings, condos and co-ops, new construction, leases and mortgage financing.

She holds a B.A. in international business.

There were 384 home sales in the Center City West in 2008, with a median sales price of $374,300.
