Dr. Irena S.M. Makarushka and Marta N. Torielli sold a three-bedroom, two-bath home at 89-22 Springfield Blvd. in Queens Village to Neelu S. Masih, Kamla Masih, and Samuel Masih for $365,700 on July 15.

The 1,818-square-foot house was built in 1945 in Queens Village.

Makarushka serves as associate dean in the College of Liberal Arts at Towson University in Maryland. Prior to this, she served as a senior fellow at the Association of American Colleges and Universities in Washington, D.C.

She had also served as a liberal arts adjunct professor at the Maryland Institute College of Art, college advisor at School Search Group LLC and was principal and consultant at Leadership for Creative Change.

She earned her degree in English from St. John's University, and her master's in religion and literature and her Ph.D. in philosophy of religion from Boston University.

There were 318 home sales in Queens Village in 2008, with a median sales price of $365,700.
