Professional equestrian sells Wellington 5BD

Eric Lamaze sold his five-bedroom, five bath at 12892 Mizner Way in Wellington for $3.09 million to Gary and Diane Waxman on Jan. 19, 2006.

Lamaze paid $1.85 million for the home in Aug. 2005, the same year the house was built.

Lamaze is a professional equestrian who originally hails from Canada. He has competed professionally since 1991 and he earned a spot on Canada's team at the World Equestrian Games in 1994, and again competed for Canada in the 1998 and 2002 World Equestrian Games.

He also operates stables in his hometown of Schomberg, Ontario, and still competes in Florida.

Home sales in Wellington dropped more than 33 percent in 2007. The median sales price also dropped from $450,000 in 2006 to $382,000 in 2007.
