Canadian equestrian loses $1M on second Wellington sale

Eric A. Lamaze sold a five-bedroom, four bath at 2675 Sheltingham Dr. in Wellington for $2,393,748 to Little Creek Investments Inc. on June 19.

Lamaze paid $3.425 million for the property on Feb. 11. The 7,692 square foot house was built in 2001.

Lamaze is an award-winning Canadian equestrian who operates Torrey Pines Stables in Schomberg, Ontario, where he coaches show jumping horses.

Last February, he won the $50,000 Smart for Life Grand Prix during the 2008 Winter Equestrian Festival held at Wellington's Palm Beach International Equestrian Center.

Lamaze also sold a three-bedroom home at 2723 Sheltingham Dr. in Wellington for $3.5 million on Feb. 6.

Home sales in Wellington have dropped 28.5 percent thus far in 2008. The median sale price has also dropped from $380,000 in 2007 to $324,000 so far this year.
