Royals pitcher lists 6BD for $4.75M

Medium be6996b7c93dcc35d567463dc2681ca2 Major League Baseball veteran Sidney Ponson has listed for sale a six-bedroom, 8.5-bath home at 2616 Delmar Place in Fort Lauderdale for $4.75 million.

Ponson paid $3.75 million for the property in July 2004. The 5,961-square-foot house, which was built in 2004, is in the Seven Isles subdivision.

Renie Praver of Golden Bear Realty Inc. is the listing agent for the property.

Ponson is a starting pitcher with the Kansas City Royals. He began his major league career in 1998 with the Baltimore Orioles, playing with that team until 2003 when he was traded to the San Francisco Giants. He re-signed with the Orioles the following season and spent two more years with the team. He has also played for the St. Louis Cardinals, New York Yankees (two stints), Texas Rangers and Minnesota Twins.

Through 2008, Ponson compiled a 90-106 record in 11 seasons. His best year was in 2003, when he went 17-12 with a 3.75 ERA for the Orioles and Giants.
