Ophthalmologist, dermatologist couple sells Clayton 4BD

Dr. Eric S. Mann and his wife, Dr. Caroline M. Mann, sold their four-bedroom, 1.5 bath at 7425 Somerset Ave. in Clayton for $505,000 to William J. Reller and his wife, Shari, on May 1.

The 2,635 square foot house was built in 1928.

Steven Mathes of Coldwell Banker Gundaker real estate was the agent for the sale. The home was listed for $599,900 when it appeared on the market in January.

Dr. Eric S. Mann is an ophthalmologist at The Retina Group Ltd., P.C. in Kirkwood and at Eye Care Specialist, LLC in Cape Girardeau. He performs surgical procedures at St. Lukes Hospital and Medical Center in Chesterfield. He specializes in diseases of the retina, vitreous and macula.

Dr. Caroline M. Mann is a board certified dermatologist and an assistant professor in the Division of Dermatology at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis. She specializes is skin cancer and dermatofibromas

She earned her M.D. from the Indiana University School of Medicine (1993) and her master's in human genetics from Sarah Lawrence College in New York ('88). She earned her bachelor's from Indiana University ('86).

Home sales in Clayton have increased 5.6 percent thus far in 2008. The median sale price, however, has dropped from $511,000 in 2007 to $376,000 so far this year.
