Prominent Attorney and scion of powerful Chicago family owned this house

William K. Stevens owned this house and was a retired trust and estate attorney in 2007 when he passed away. He was the scion of one of Chicago's most eminent families, primarily known as the builders of the Stevens Hotel, today the Chicago Hilton. Stevens became one of the country's most prominent trust and estate attorneys, ending his career as Of Counsel to Fowler, White, Boggs Banker. His brother is Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States John Paul Stevens.
