Diversity defined Triumvera
by BlockShopper Historian published Feb. 16, 2010
The condominiums in the Triumvera subdivision in Glenview were created with different styles in mind.
A profile of the area in the Sept. 14, 1974 Chicago Tribune discussed the Birnleow Development Co. buildings, with triangular towers, mid-rises and townhouses. A two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit in a mid-rise was priced at $44,900 and offered a den, intercom security, access to a laundry room and heated indoor parking.
The townhouses, also by Birnloew, were two- and three-bedroom homes, with 90 planned, from $44,900 to $54,900, according to the April 6, 1974 Chicago Tribune. Floorplans (no models were ready at the time) offered two baths, with some offering central air conditioning, double-oven and range, full basements, one-car garage and walk-in closet in the master bedroom.
