Sam Mullins was the president of Cleveland Pneumatic Industries in 1961 when he owned this house. Cleveland Pneumatic Industries built the first aircraft landing gear, which became the standard throughout the industry. During World War II it trained other companies to produce its product. The Goodrich Corp. bought the company in 1993 and it became the Goodrich Landing Gear Division.
