The Issacs-Hendricks house - Oldest remaining house in Greenwich Village

Originally a farmhouse, the Issacs-Hendricks house, built in 1799, is the oldest surviving house in Greenwich Village. It was originally a free standing Federal-style frame house with its own yard. John Isaacs bought the land for the house in 1794 for $295. The Greek Revival brick facade was added in 1836.
