Eugene Bonniwell was a retired Philadelphia Municipal Court judge in 1961 when he owned this house. He was a Municipal Court judge from 1914 until he retired in 1954. Bonniwell was a candidate for Congress in 1910 and 1912 and a candidate for governor in 1916 and 1926.
