Olympic bronze medalist, John Carlos, owns this house. He won the bronze medal at the 1968 summer games. he may be best remembered for giving the Black Power salute on the medal presentation podium along with gold medal winner, Tommie Smith. Carlos and smith also appeared on the podium shoeless, wearing black socks to signify black poverty. Carlos also played one season in the NFL with the Philadelphia Eagles. He is a 2004 U.S. Track field Hall of Fame inductee.
