The James W. Washington Home and Studio

Sculptor James W. Washington lived in this bungalow after moving to Seattle in 1945. The home was designed and built in 1918 by E.A. Gustafson, who lived in the home with his seamstress wife until 1944. In 1965, architect William Bain designed a studio for Washington behind the house.
