Author, Erle Gardner, owned this house in 1937. He became one of the most successful mystery writers of all time by creating popular characters such as Perry Mason. The 82 Mason adventures penned by Gardner made him one of the wealthiest mystery writers of all time. Perry Mason became a hit television program starring Raymond Burr and ran from 1957 to 1966. Gardner passed away in 1970.
