Federal Judge Michael Roche owned this house in 1961. He was nominated by President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1935. Roche served as chief judge from 1948 to 1958. He was an assistant district attorney for San Francisco from 1908 to 1910, a Municipal Court of San Francisco judge from 1910 to 1914 and a Superior Court of California judge from 1918 to 1935. Roche passed away in 1964.
